Making the world a better place is a great idea! But what does it actually mean in practice? And how can you do it in a new society as a migrant?
If you are 18+ and live in Poland — this event is for you!
Join a two-day ideathon on April 17–18 where young people will work in teams on real social problems and come up with solutions that can truly make a difference. It’s also a great chance to meet interesting people, make new friends, and have a good time.
No special experience is needed — a fresh perspective is the most valuable.
Анонс па-беларуску // Wersja polska

Organisation for European Expertise and Communications (OEEK) together with Heta Okey invite you to join the MigrAction Ideathon on April 17–18 in Warsaw. What is it? Let us explain!
- An ideathon is a two-day event focused on generating and developing ideas.
- MigrAction is a name that combines the words “migration” and “action,” and with it we emphasize the active role of migrants in the event.
- “Making the world a better place” sounds like an abstract thing, but in practice, it is often the work of civil society organizations (CSOs).
- CSOs are civil society organizations: non-profit, non-governmental organizations, often volunteer-based. They run projects in areas such as culture, education, environmental protection, and human rights, improving the lives of people and other living beings (e.g., wild and domestic animals).
How can you join and contribute?
At the ideathon, CSOs will bring real-life challenges and cases from their work. For example: they may work with elderly people and want to involve more young people but don’t know how. Or they may be raising funds for a shelter and want to improve their communication to receive more donations.
Your task will be to help solve these “cases.” You don’t need to have expertise or prior experience in the chosen topic. An outside perspective is, on the contrary, fresh, interesting, and valuable. And you won’t be working alone — we’ll form teams from those who submit applications to the ideathon, and you’ll get to meet new people and solve a real practical challenge.
The three best team ideas will receive funding — €600 to bring their ideas to life.
Who are we looking for?
Young people (18+) living in Poland, regardless of whether they are migrants or not. People interested in social projects who would like to try themselves in this field. Those who want to meet new people and spend meaningful time solving social challenges.
Working languages: Polish, English, Belarusian, Ukrainian. If you speak at least one of them, join us, and we’ll find a way to understand each other.
Participation conditions
Participation is free of charge. Organizers will provide coffee breaks, lunches, and all necessary materials. Unfortunately, we cannot cover accommodation or travel costs to Warsaw, but you are welcome to apply if you can cover these expenses yourself.
To apply, please fill out the application form by April 14 (extended deadline). Results and invitations will be sent no later than April 15.
