Examples of our work

Due to the repressive environment in which we work, we are unable to publicly share a detailed list of our partners, projects and impact. However, we’ve captured our key achievements in case studies and are happy to share them with you (tap on the case study’s description to learn more):

Pioneering online education before it was mainstream

Even before the COVID-19 pandemic, we recognized the potential of online learning and launched our first course on community building in 2019. As the world shifted to remote formats, we scaled our efforts and developed 27 online courses on civic education between 2020 and 2024. More than 2,500 people completed these programs. In specialized courses for NGO managers, we achieved an impressive 87% engagement rate—measured by the percentage of participants who completed the course compared to those who initially applied.

Belarusian community space to grow new civic leaders

We launched and ran a Belarusian community space in Tbilisi for three years, from March 2022 to December 2024. During this time, it hosted 795 events with a total of about 9,000 visitors. The space became a supportive environment for grassroots initiatives and a meeting point for civil society in exile. Impressively, 85% of the events were initiated and organized by the visitors themselves, while only 15% were coordinated by our team. It offered a meaningful opportunity for people to engage, collaborate, and experience civic participation in action.

Building CSOs’ capacity through support and practical learning

To help civil society organizations rebuild and strengthen their capacity, we provide mentoring and resources to initiatives working with their target groups for the benefit of Belarus – typically supporting around 50 CSOs per year. Together with our partners, we also developed an online capacity building program aimed at improving service delivery, organizational management, and the integration of core values. As shared by alumni, the program equipped them with practical tools for CSO management, fundraising, communication, and self-care – empowering them to move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
